The area of fires in Germenji Park is expanding, 65 forces on the ground

The fire situation in the Germenj Natural Park appears somewhat calmer and there are not many new fire outbreaks, but the affected area has expanded further.

This was announced by the Korça district authorities, according to which, today there are about 65 forces of the Kolonjë MZSH, the regional directorate of Protected Areas, border police, forest service and volunteers on the ground. They are also supported by army forces from the Drenova department, given that the spread yesterday penetrated the protected forest area and the risk is high.

"We believe that thanks to this effort, the situation will normalize today, hoping that we will also benefit from rain today or tomorrow, because the weather forecast is cloudy," the prefecture announces.
