The person who made the audio-interception against the candidate for Himarë municipality, Fredi Beleri, is suspected to be Arsen Rama, according to sources from the prosecution.

After this case was made public in the media, his brother, Abdul Rama, said in an interview to the media that the case and the way it was handled had great consequences for him and his family.

According to Abdul Rama, it is not yet known exactly whether his brother did the audio-taping, since after the arrest of the candidate Beleri could no longer speak to him, but they as a family want to distance themselves from this event.

"We found out everything in the media. We do not know the suspect's role in the wiretapping file. I have not spoken to my brother except the day Beleri was arrested. The police came at 2 in the morning and interrogated us at the police station. The police only took my brother, father and family members who live in Palasa. It is a difficult situation. We are not responsible for the actions he has taken. He is 22 years old and we do not know the circumstances, the situation. We have not had contact with any person. We also bear a part of the responsibility. We do not take sides", said Abdul Rama for A2.

Abdul Rama claims that candidate Beleri is a family friend as the latter has helped him many times. With Beleri, according to Abdul Rama, his family, as well as his brother, only had a working relationship, to sell fish to Beleri's restaurant in Himare.

"We had a friendly relationship with Fredi Beleri. For us he is a good friend. We have had no problems. The suspect in this file had a relationship that only took fish to the restaurant and together they only talked about fish", he said.
