A serious event involving an Albanian family was recorded in Acquaviva delle Fonti, in the province of Bari, in Italy.

A 54-year-old Albanian stabbed his 44-year-old wife several times yesterday evening in their home. The crime happened after an argument between them.

The 54-year-old man escaped from the apartment after leaving his wife seriously injured, although he was arrested only a little later by the authorities.

The woman is reported to be in the hospital in a serious condition after receiving 3 stab wounds in the chest and suffering damage to her lungs. She underwent an operation but so far no details are known about her health condition.

While the 54-year-old man is in custody while the Italian authorities carry out investigations.
