The draft law that will be passed tomorrow in the Assembly for approval by the 140 legislators of the Republic regarding Albania's engagement, represented by Edi Rama, in the Peace Board, is revealed.
It was an invitation sent by US President Donald Trump , who invited Albania to become part of this international organization with founding member status, where one of the main goals is to function as a transitional government after the end of the war in the Gaza Strip.
The mission of the Peace Board is to exert influence to establish the foundations of peace, stability and reconstruction in territories affected by conflict, in accordance with international law and the provisions of its founding Charter.
The Peace Corps Charter guarantees the sovereignty of all member states and that the mandate is 3 years.
The latter excludes those countries that will contribute $1 billion within the first year of membership.
Prime Minister Edi Rama himself has denied paying this amount to ensure Albania's extension of its stay on the Board.
