Other details have been learned from the tragic event that shook Ksamil this Tuesday morning, where a Portuguese tourist was stabbed to death by 29-year-old Sokrat Vata. Media sources indicate that the perpetrator of this event himself has decided to "keep his mouth shut" in front of the investigative group, not giving any statement to the investigators.

Meanwhile, as part of the investigation, two Turkish citizens were also questioned, who were captured with Vata while trying to remove him from the scene.

In the presence of translators, they gave their version of the relationship with the 29-year-old and the moments after the conflict.

According to their testimonies, the two Turkish citizens were regular customers of the "Principotes" bar and had established a social relationship with Vata.

They stated that they paid the 29-year-old for security services, such as a bodyguard and personal escort.

Before investigators, the Turkish citizens denied any involvement in the criminal incident, explaining that they took Vata in the vehicle because of the social relationship they had with him.

"We were friends and we accompanied him because of friendship," they are reported to have stated.

On the other hand, the investigative team has also questioned the victim's friends, who have provided details about how the conflict began and the moments leading up to the fatal blow.

According to their testimonies, the fight allegedly started inside the bar after a girl was harassed. The situation then escalated, involving several people, who fought with each other.

Security personnel also intervened in an attempt to calm the situation. At this point, 20-year-old Portuguese Luis Miguel Varela Mendes is suspected of having stepped into the middle of the conflict in order to separate the people involved in the fight. But his intervention ended tragically. Varela was stabbed, suffering serious and fatal injuries.

"The fight started over the harassment of a girl. Several people were involved in the conflict. Luis Varela stepped in to quell the conflict," they are reported to have said.
