The capture of Duel Mehmedaj, the perpetrator of the murder on November 28, 2020 of Ridvan Ramazan in the village of Dajç, has become an important challenge for the police of Shkodra.

10 vans of the Special Department RENEA and FNSH of the city, from Friday morning until noon, carried out checks in several houses in the Dobraç neighborhood. Among the apartments checked were those of the Bajri tribe, where the police suspected that Mehmedaj was hiding.

For 1 and a half years, the criminal police of Shkodra have carried out several operations to arrest Mehmedaj, but in no case have there been any results.

He is accused of executing Ritvan Ramazan with a machine gun on November 28, 2020, after a weak conflict between Ramazan's son and Duel's brother, Hydajet Mehmedaj.

In the footage recorded at that time by the cameras in the area, the moment when Duel Mehmedaj gets out of a black "Benz-Mercedes" with license plate AA 259 BA and holds a Kalashnikov in his hands, where he starts shooting in the direction of Ramzan, who was at the wheel of the "BMË X5" type vehicle. From these films, as well as the testimonies given, Ritvan Ramazani was the one who shot with a "TT" pistol.

Mehmetaj got out of the car and retaliated with a "river" of bullets where he fired a total of 30 bullets. After this scene, he left on foot with a gun in his hands, entering the gas station premises and threatening the two employees not to tell the police anything about what they had seen. Currently, Duel Mehmedaj has been charged and the case against him is still pending in Shkodër.

As for Hydajet Mehmedaj, the Shkodra prosecutor's office decided to drop the charges against him. Two employees of the gas station have also been charged in this case, on the charge of "Disobedience of the crime".
