The murder of Brilant Martinay and two of his friends, new details from the
Brilant Martinaj

The car with Slovenian license plates that observed the last movements of Brilant Martinaj and two of his friends who was executed at the Fushe Kruja overpass last summer was sent to be dismantled for spare parts in a kosovo service.

As journalist Klodiana Lala reports, this is the response Slovenian judicial authorities brought to Albanian investigators, directing the latter to turn their eyes to Kosovo in search of clues and evidence of the mafia assassination.

After receiving the first letter of order, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office requested additional information from Slovenia, while through a second order letter requests information from Kosovo regarding the car service where the vehicle would be dismantled. Prosecutors want to know who the person who took the car into service and at what period. If that data is secured, then prosecutors may have a new pathway to shed light on serious crime.

Brilant Martinaj and his two friends Besmir Hoxha and Dikler Vata were shot dead at noon on 17 July 2022 at the Cross of The Field of Kumanoce.

Investigators suspect that Brilant Martinaj was killed due to the clash of criminal groups in drug trafficking and the continued assassinations, during which people closely linked to Ervis Martinaj, who is considered the king of gambling, were executed.

After the mafia assassination in Fushe Krujë, the Martinaj family denounced the disappearance without trace of Ervis Martinaj, who was in international search following the testimony of the justice repentant Nuredin Dumani, whose fate remains a mystery to this day.
