A 45-year-old man of Albanian origin has become a hero, after facing a person who tried to open the plane door at an altitude of over 9,000 meters, during the Tel Aviv-London flight.

Victor Troboloni has told "The Sun"  the whole incident, as a video has also been published where he can be seen wearing a baseball cap and holding the attacker down in the row of the cabin.

Victor, originally from Albania but living in Zurich, was on his way to visit his sick mother in St Albans, England, when he saw the man behaving strangely earlier in the flight, pacing up and down the street. from the cockpit entrance to the emergency exit at the other end. He says that he began to suspect and keep an eye on him.

“I saw him walking up and down, probably looking for weak points in the plane... checking the seat numbers. I am an aircraft engineer myself, I worked in maintenance.

So I know what's happening in the air, while flying 11 km above sea level, you have no escape if that door opens. It was a very scary situation," he says.

He then adds that he stopped the man by hitting him on the head to knock him to the ground.

"He tried to open the emergency exit, he was sitting in the back and it's easy to open an emergency exit, you just pull the handle and that's it. He was very heavy... I headbutted him and the flight attendants tied his hands with plastic ties. .. I had to do it. I held him for 10 minutes, he was short of breath and tired, they tied him up 45 minutes to 1 hour before we landed in Belgrade", he said.

Victor also said the attacker shouted "Allahu Akbar" repeatedly throughout the ordeal.

Victor explained that many of the people on board were women and children, who were visibly shocked and upset.
