The moment before the crash

This morning, a tragedy almost happened on the coast of Jala. A dinghy tried to go ashore, but failed to stop in time, taking 2 vacationers (a couple) who were on deckchairs.

The following video, provided by Vox News.al, shows the moment the dinghy collided with the deckchairs in Jalë. As can be seen from the footage, the dinghy took a big turn in the sea and then headed towards the seashore. 


One of the vacationers received injuries to his ribs and face, while the girl received minor scratches. The police accompanied the driver of the boat, citizen Gj. P., 37 years old, while the injured couple are Albanian tourists.

Police notification:

Today, around 11:20, on the beach of Jala, citizen Gj. P., 37 years old, driving a boat type (dinghy), allegedly lost control going ashore, where as a result he injured citizens AS, 31 years old and E. GJ., 25 years old, who were transported to hospital, out of danger to life.
