Judge Astrit Kalaja
A serious incident occurred this Monday at the Court of Appeals in Tirana, where judge Astit Kalaja was killed.
Kalaja is known to be originally from Shkodra. As part of the Vetting process, he was reconfirmed in office in December 2019. He graduated from the Faculty of Law with the title of 'jurist'.
After completing his studies, he was appointed as a judge at the Shkodra Judicial District Court and since 2004 he has been serving as a judge at the Shkodra Court of Appeal.
In 2011, he completed a master's degree at the University of Tirana and also served as a member of the Electoral College.
