Prime Minister Edi Rama, commenting on the arrest of Erion Veliaj, said he used an expression like he did to the 'tyrants' who say they were 'known as many'.

The head of government said that the elected officials are not cannon fodder for a government that prohibits them from contracting with the citizens who voted for them.  

"When the tyrants say we met a lot, what are the elected officials who receive votes from the people to run the country, meat for cannon for a power. How many times have I been so powerful to the point of terminating a mayor's contract with the citizens, without providing evidence. Who runs the Municipality of Tirana? He has not even been declared guilty, he is simply a suspect and is being held there. Who knows how to do things, or the judge," said Rama.
