The Tirana court has ordered the indefinite "prison arrest" of RENEA official Altin Morina, who was arrested on Tuesday afternoon at the Paris Municipality with 113,000 euros in his car.

The officer Morina claimed in the session of the security measure that the money found in his car was justified and according to him, it belongs to a businessman, from whom he had taken a loan, for which documentation will be presented.

In the hearing, Morina also revealed the name of the businessman who, according to him, took the money for his personal problems. It is about a construction businessman.

Of the three charges that were initially in his charge, the one of abuse of office has been dropped and he is accused only of cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity.

Along with the amount of more than 100,000 euros, 4 mobile phones were found in Morona's car, which were seized.

"The money does not come from criminal proceeds, I got it 20 minutes before I was arrested. I am ready to cooperate with justice", Morina said.
