A 38-year-old man from Lushnja has been arrested by the Fier Police after being caught driving under the influence of alcohol and distributing doses of cocaine.

During the searches of his vehicle and apartment, the blue uniforms seized 33 doses of narcotics, suspected to be ready for sale, as well as other items used for illegal activity.

In addition to the arrest, the 38-year-old was also fined 55,000 lek for violating traffic rules.

Police announcement:

Fier, distributing cocaine and driving under the influence of alcohol, the 38-year-old is located and arrested.

He was also fined 55,000 lek for the traffic violations he committed. 33 doses of cocaine , ready for sale, were found in his vehicle and apartment . The doses were seized along with the vehicle, 1 electronic scale and 4 mobile phones.

During the monitoring carried out throughout the territory of the district, with the objective of ascertaining citizens who perform suspicious and dangerous maneuvers with the vehicles they drive, the Traffic Police services stopped for verification, on the "Fiershegan-Krutje" road axis, the vehicle driven by citizen EK, 38 years old, resident of Lushnja.

The test showed that the 38-year-old was driving under the influence of alcohol, and further checks showed that he did not have insurance on the vehicle. For both violations, he was punished with administrative measures, a total fine of 55,000 lek.

Further, searches were conducted in his vehicle and apartment, where a total of 33 doses of the suspected narcotic substance Cocaine and 1 electronic scale were found.

At the conclusion of the procedural actions carried out within the framework of the operation coded "Penalties", specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Sector arrested citizen EK, for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics". The procedural materials were referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further actions .
