The fate of Australian tourist Cameron Twiss, who disappeared 5 and a half weeks ago in the Albanian Alps while hiking in one of the most touristic areas, continues to be a mystery.

The 28-year-old from Adelaide had left all his personal belongings in the hostel where he was staying in Shkodër and had left to cross to Theth.

The Albanian authorities have organized several operations to search for him, but to no avail. Brother Cameron from Australia also went to help them, but no trace was found.

The professional traveler left the hotel on the morning of October 13 to take the road that connects Valbona with Thethi, and from that moment nothing is known about his fate.

The 10-hour journey covers a distance of 17 km in a mountainous area, where the presence of a local guide is recommended, but the 28-year-old chose to do it on his own.

A team from Kosovo, as well as drones, were engaged in the search for him, while on November 2 the operations were stopped.
