A serious incident has occurred in Gjirokastra, where a 12-year-old girl is suspected of being sexually abused for 2 years by her mother's partner.

Citizen Kelmend Krusa, along with his brother, Klodian Krusa, were arrested a few days ago as suspected perpetrators of the murder of citizen, Artur Lleshi, the father of the minor girl who was allegedly sexually abused.

The mother of the minor girl, after the mysterious disappearance of her husband in 2018, who was later found murdered, fled towards Gjirokastra, living with Kelmend Krusa, while taking her children with her. Kelmend Krusa turns out to be a cousin of the victims.

"On 26.01.2026, the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen Kelmend Kursa, born on 13.02.1987, a tenant in Gjirokastër, from Dibra with 12th grade education, was made, after the minor citizen AALL, 12 years old, the daughter of the cohabitant, was sexually abused and had sexual relations with her over a period of 2 years," sources inform ZËRI.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra. Article 100 of the Criminal Code.
