A quantity of explosive material exploded in an apartment on the 9th floor of a building in Tirana.

The explosion occurred on the balcony of the apartment and it is suspected that the TNT was dropped by a drone.

The incident was recorded at around 23:45 on "Sadik Petrela" street.

Fortunately, there were no injuries from the explosion, but only material damage.

Although the police say that there was no one in the apartment, suspicions are that the people who were in the apartment had left at the time the incident occurred.

The police's suspicions that the explosives were dropped by drone come from the fact that the apartment was located on the 9th floor.

However, the possibility that TNT was left on the balcony by the people using the house and the explosion occurred accidentally cannot be ruled out.

This suspicion comes because investigators have learned that the apartment rented by Elena Arza was frequented by Bernard Sinomati from Vlora, a name known to the police, against whom several assassination attempts have failed.

Bernardi is the brother of Sokol Sinomati, a former member of the "Gaxhai" gang, and the uncle of Gëzim Sinomati, executed by sniper in Vlora in January 2024.
