A serious incident has been recorded in Gjirokastra where a 12-year-old girl was sexually abused for 2 years by her mother's partner, Kelmend Krusa, who, together with his brother Klodian Krusa, were arrested about a week ago as suspected perpetrators of the murder of Artur Lleshi, who was the father of the sexually abused girl.

The brother of the late Artur Lleshi, Lulëzim Lleshi, has previously stated that the two twin brothers Krusa had taken his and his brother's wives.

But after the news of his niece's rape was made public, he shocked again with a statement.

He stated that the same thing had happened before with his daughters, last summer, and after they were harassed, they left Gjirokastra and returned to their father.

"It's good that my brother was killed in a tunnel near the village of Zogjaj, but they also took our two wives, but they are also abusing our minor children who are our blood. My two daughters, one 15 and the other 13 years old, left Gjirokastra at the end of August 2025 and came to me. They told me that they no longer go there because their mother's partner sexually harassed them," he told News24.

He further added that he wants the brothers to be sentenced to life imprisonment, or else he will commit suicide.

"Let the justice system sentence them to life imprisonment or I will commit suicide. It's good that they took our wives away from us, but they are also harassing my two daughters and my brother's daughter," he said.

Two brothers from Dibra, Klodian and Kelmend Krusa, suspected of being involved in a murder in 2018, were arrested by police in Gjirokastra about a week ago.
