Nuredin Dumani and Erjon Alibey

The confrontation requested by the prosecution between two justice collaborators, Nuredin Dumani and Erjon Alibej, within the framework of the "Golden Bullet" file, took place this Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime.

The hearing focused on the circumstances of the murder of Bujar Çela, where the two defendants were confronted with each other, outside the security cage, due to their status as collaborators of justice.

During the hearing, the statements given on January 16, 2025, regarding the organization and execution of the assassination attempt on Bujar Çela, Talo Çela's brother, were compared. The court also read parts of Duman's previous testimony transcripts.

Nuredin Dumani reiterated and confirmed his statements about the method of securing information and executing the assassination.

"I had received information about Bujar from Elio Bitri. During the assassination attempt, he shot Bujar with the 'Scorpion'. I saw that he was alive and I told him to shoot him in the head, and he hit him twice," Dumani previously stated, testimony that he confirmed during today's hearing.

On the other hand, Erjon Alibej also confirmed his version, emphasizing that the murder was planned in collaboration and describing the stages of its organization.

"First, Henrik Hoxha and Skerdi Tasi were involved. Nuredini was involved with them," said Alibej, adding that these people later withdrew from the plan.

He added that he had also hired Xhulian Hoxha to follow the victim's movements and provide information, explaining that he had no knowledge of the murder plan and was not paid after he ended up in prison.

Xhulian Hoxha's lawyer also reacted to this testimony, stating that his client has no connection to the incident.

Throughout the entire session, according to the court process, there was no disagreement between the two justice associates, who maintained the same stance on their previous statements.

The murder of Bujar Çela occurred on September 17, 2020 in the village of Bradashesh, where he was shot while in a bar. The perpetrators then fled in two vehicles, while investigations later revealed the involvement of several people through material evidence and testimonies of the repentant.

During the hearing at the GJKKO for the "Golden Bullet" file, a confrontation took place between the repentant justice Henrik Hoxhaj and another justice collaborator Skerdi Tase, who gave testimony on several criminal events, including the assassination attempt on Agim Boriç. Both described the circumstances of the attack, linking it to previous conflicts and the way the assassination was organized in 2018, which remained an attempt since there were no victims.

During the prosecution's questions, Hoxhaj also spoke about the origin of the conflict with the Boriçi family, claiming that the clash had started earlier and was personal in nature.

"I was injured in 2004. Two people came up to me and started a useless argument with me... later I found out that he was from the Boriçi tribe," said Henrik Hoxhaj.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor in the case, Behar Dibra, stated that this confrontation did not bring the expected results, emphasizing that the questions were not allowed to develop fully.

"This confrontation brought no benefit, nothing new. What they said could have been obtained in another form. It was just not a confrontation," said prosecutor Dibra.

"Golden Bullet" is one of the largest investigations of the Special Prosecution Office, focused on uncovering a series of serious criminal events that occurred in Albania over the years, mainly in Elbasan and other areas.

The investigation relied on the testimonies of two justice collaborators, Nuredin Dumani and Erjon Alibej, who admitted their involvement in criminal events and revealed details about the organization of assassinations, executions, and conflicts between rival groups.

Within the framework of this operation, several murders and attempted murders were documented, and persons involved in their planning, prosecution and execution were identified. A large part of the evidence was obtained through the testimonies of the suspects, which were then verified with material evidence and operational investigations.

The file has also shed light on the chain of revenge between criminal groups, where various events are linked to each other in a long-standing conflict between the parties.

"Golden Bullet" is considered one of SPAK's most voluminous investigations, as it has brought to court direct testimony from persons involved in serious crimes and has helped to unravel some of the most sensational assassinations of recent years./shtet.org
