SPAK opens the "super tender" for antivirus and "Firewall"

Under the pressure of political attacks and external cyber factors, the SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office has decided to spend from its budget, a figure of 1 billion 647 million ALL, for the purchase of antivirus and "Firewall" systems.

The expenditure of this large amount of money will be carried out through 5 lots by purchasing different equipment and systems that will maintain the servers and the entire computer system.

Established almost 4 years ago as the institution that would pursue and track the abuses of high-value tenders in the Administration, now it is SPAK itself, which is opening procedures with billions of lek, where often the winners are predetermined in most cases.

"Ora News" has learned that SPAK's super tender was opened on April 15 and it is expected that the closing of the procedure will take place on May 15, 2024, when and one week after this date, the evaluation of the economic offers of the participating companies will be carried out.

But unlike in many cases, when these forms of tendering with large economic values, for the purchase of electronic equipment in the administration, are managed and handled by Linda Karçana's institution (AKSHI), this has not happened with SPAK.

The five lots with a total value of 1 billion 647 million ALL will be managed by a commission set up in SPAK by the head of this institution, Altin Dumani.

The commission consists of lawyers, IT experts of SPAK and other administration officials, who have defined the criteria for the participating companies.

The tender comes at a time when SPAK's foreign partners have invested a lot of money in donations, donating computer systems to this prosecution.

Only for the tender of the first lot, SPAK has planned to spend 151 million old lek for the purchase of "Antivirus vs EDR" and "Firewall" security systems.

Meanwhile, for the second lot, it is planned to spend 367 million old leks for the purchase of systems that monitor and control access and identify network and network equipment.

But the highest value of expenditure with 1 billion and 123 million lek will be the third lot of electronic items for the purchase of protection systems "antiransomware", "Storage", "Server" and "Switch".

At the same time, in the fourth lot that SPAK has launched, it is planned to spend a figure of 2 million and 460 thousand ALL for the purchase of optical fiber, the term and "patchpanel".

The last financial item of 544 thousand old lek that is determined in the Fifth Lot, is the purchase of an audio and video conference equipment.
