Dutch presenter and model Sylvie Meis, who lives in Germany, was present at the court hearing for the theft that occurred in her luxury apartment in Hamburg during the summer of 2023, while she was on vacation in Ibiza.

According to the Hamburg Police investigation, a group of perpetrators from Albania were involved in the theft, while one of them, an Albanian citizen, was arrested and brought before the court. The perpetrators forced their way into her apartment on the fifth floor of the building, stealing 22 luxury handbags worth around 530 thousand euros.

Sylvie Meis attended the hearing and exercised her right to speak, speaking about the psychological consequences of the event. She stated that, despite the compensation from the insurance company, she continues to experience fear, anxiety and panic attacks.

The arrested perpetrator, 42-year-old Ermal M., was sentenced to four years in prison. He apologized in court, claiming that he had a secondary role in the theft. The presenter emphasized that the incident has also affected her 19-year-old son.

After the end of the trial, Sylvie Meis is trying to return to daily life, although she continues to face emotional consequences from the event.
