The Shkodra Prosecutor's Office has established that the acquisition of 390 dynym of sand in Velipojë was made with forged documents and did not ask for confiscation but to dismiss the case. 

This decision is expected to be announced by the court of Shkodra on 05.10.2022 at 13.00 for the Prosecutor's request for the amnesty of this property in favor of counterfeiters, while it has been requested to continue the confiscation and investigation for the criminal offenses of "fraud" and "cleaning products of the criminal offense" with serious consequences according to article 143 and 287 of the Penal Code.

The Shkodra Prosecutor's Office has found at least 9 forged elements in a property of 390 dunym of sand land in Velipoje, documents which were used in the Court against the negative decision of the Property Handling Agency and through the court this ownership of the sand strip was acquired.

After this finding, a group of experts from the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office did not request the confiscation or sequestration of property and the elimination of forged documents. The prosecution has contented itself with finding that the statute of limitations has passed for the criminal offense of "forgery" and leaves all this property to the counterfeiters to enjoy. It appears from the file that this property was acquired in the name of a deceased 99-year-old woman.
