The assassination that shook Tirana today occurred just 20 meters from the state protocol, near Rinas airport, where Gilmando Dani was executed and AMP officer Muçi Shaljani was seriously injured.

Journalist Merin Maçi has provided new details and the full dynamics of the assassination, which he described as a well-organized execution.

"The victim's vehicle was hit by a hail of bullets. The car continued straight, entering the wrong lane. The bullets also went to a nearby hotel," said Maçi on the "Opinion" show.

According to him, three people armed with Kalashnikovs got out of a vehicle and shot at the victim's car, while the attack took place in complete cold blood.

"One of the perpetrators, after his weapon jammed, asked his accomplice for the Kalashnikov and fired again at Gilmando Dani. Everything happened calmly, without any police patrol nearby. The team of assassins was like a firing squad ," the journalist emphasized.

According to Maci, the perpetrators acted professionally and appear to have been well-informed about the victim's movements.

"The police have the incident filmed. The person approaching Gilmando Dani seemed 'professional', he did everything calmly. The perpetrators were wearing masks ," he said.

The journalist added that Gilmando Dani had previously been the target of a similar assassination attempt in the same area, but had managed to escape.

Meanwhile, the injured Muçi Shaljani, who is suspected of being an employee of the Police Supervision Agency, is in extremely serious condition.

"The officer did not have a criminal record, but was known to have social ties to Emiljano Shullazi's group," explained Maçi.

According to him, investigators suspect the existence of an informant who may have helped the assassins, while a vehicle, suspected of having been watching the victim, is being verified by the police.

"Gilmando Dani's group had open accounts with many people. The main clue is the clash between criminal groups. Shullazi's group, also identified by SPAK, was 'working' from prison as well," the journalist stated.

Considered the right-hand man of Emiljano Shullazi, Gilmando Dani was a well-known name in the justice system. He was involved in several criminal events and was the victim of at least two assassination attempts in the past.

When the incident occurred, Gilmando Dani had just arrived at Rinas Airport together with Shaljani, who turns out to be a person with no criminal record.

They had just returned from Barcelona. They had left Albania on November 7th and had parked their vehicle at Rinas Airport.
