Thousands of citizens march in the streets of the capital on the 13th day

Thousands of citizens gathered today for the 13th consecutive day in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Their protest has seen a significant increase in participation in recent days.

Immigrants have also joined the protest. Hundreds of immigrants have protested in recent days in cities such as Milan, Florence, Bologna, Genoa, Brussels, London and Berlin.

With banners in their hands and red and black flags, they have called for change, while the protest has united students, young people, pensioners, children, professionals, immigrants, tourists and activists.

Under the slogans "Revolution" and "More tomorrow", the protesters have declared that they will continue their stance until Prime Minister Edi Rama resigns.

They have also announced a rally on June 13, where diaspora immigrants have also been called upon to join.

During the protest, chants such as "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison", "Rama out", "The homeland is not for sale", "New Albania", "The end has come for you" and "Albania is ours" were heard.

Before the speeches began, the protesters held a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs of the Kosovo war.

The representative of the coordination group called for a boycott of all sold media, asking for understanding for the media that are out there doing their job. “They are part of us,” she said.

She also said that even the administration that participated in the meeting with Rama does not like the government and is feeling compelled, calling on them to join the protest.

Another protester raised concerns about the justice system, which he described as corrupt. According to him, SPAK has the full support of Albanian citizens to deliver justice and investigate politicians who have stolen Albanian taxes.

After the speeches, citizens began their march through the streets of the capital with the cry "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison".
