
Some of Tirana's main roads will be blocked today from 5:00 PM until the end of the Albania-Luxembourg friendly match.
To guarantee order and security during this sporting activity, the State Police has engaged a considerable number of police officers.
NOTICE
Plan of measures to guarantee order and security before, during and after the friendly football match between the national teams of Albania and Luxembourg, which will take place on 06.06.2026, at 20:00, at the "Air Albania" stadium.
For the smooth running of this activity, starting from 5:00 PM until the end of the match, the State Police, in cooperation with the Tirana Municipal Police, will apply temporary restrictions on vehicle traffic on several road axes near the stadium.
The roads that will be blocked from 5:00 PM until the end of the match are:
- “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard, from “Rogner” Hotel towards “Mother Teresa” Square;
-“Papa John Paul II” Street, at the intersection of RTSH;
-“Dervish Hima” Street, near the US Embassy;
-“Asim Zeneli” Street, near the US Embassy;
-“Themistokle Gërmenji” Street, at the beginning of the street;
-“Ismail Qemali” Street, at the intersection of RTSH;
-“Lekë Dukagjini” Street, near the former Republic Guard, entrance corridor to the designated parking area only for vehicles authorized by the AFF;
-“Abdyl Frashëri” Street, near the intersection of Libri Universitari;
-At "Willson" Square, where traffic will be diverted towards "Sami Frashëri" Street, shortly before the end of the match.
Elbasani Street, the Ring Road and "Bajram Curri" Boulevard will be free for vehicle traffic.
In accordance with the plan of measures, State Police officers will conduct detailed checks on fans before entering the stadium, in order to prevent the introduction of banners with racist content, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, metal coins, umbrellas, lighters, mobile phone chargers, cosmetic tools and products, as well as other hard objects that may endanger the life and health of participants.
Entry to the stadium begins at 6:00 p.m. To ensure order and security during this sporting event, the State Police has engaged a significant number of police officers.
