The winning project is announced, here's what the new "Asllan Rusi" Sports Palace will look like (PHOTOS)

The winning architectural project idea for the new "Asllan Rusi" Sports Palace in Tirana has been announced.

The project will revitalize both the sports facilities and the area where the Sports Palace is currently located.

An international jury, after seeing and listening to the architectural project ideas, decided that the winner was "MVRDV", consisting of a working group with names such as Windy Maas, Stavros Gargaretas, Nicolas Land, Eduart Balla and Angel Sanchez Navarro.

The project will be shaped like a basketball and will include sports facilities, recreation facilities, shops and even underground parking.
