Serious accident in Shëngjin/ 36-year-old worker falls from construction site and dies on the spot

A serious incident occurred this Thursday afternoon in Shëngjin.

A 36-year-old man tragically lost his life while working at a construction site in the Kuna area. The worker fell from a height on the site, into the elevator shaft where he was working, and died.

Police are at the scene and have launched an investigation into the serious incident.

"Around 16:30, the Lezha DVP Operations Room was notified that, in the premises of a building under construction in Kune-Shëngjin, citizen AZ, 36 years old, resident of Pllanë, Lezha, is suspected of having accidentally fallen from the height of the place where the elevator was to be placed and, as a result, has lost his life. Police and fire services immediately went to the scene and made it possible to extract the victim's body. The investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances and document this case with legal evidence," said the Lezha police in a preliminary announcement about the event.
