The head of the Public Transport Association, Dashnor Memaj, has warned that they will request an increase in the ticket price, even more than what was requested last time.

In an interview with the media, Mema said that in order to have a quality service and to improve the bus fleet, a ticket of up to 80 ALL would be needed, that is, twice what the citizens pay currently.

"Based on the request we made some time ago, for which we held a conference where we declared that we were no longer able to afford the service, so we studied the market in detail, in order to have a quality service and to improve the bus fleet a ticket worth 70 to 80 ALL would be needed," he said.

Also, Memaj insisted on creating a long-term policy for the sector he represents.

"If there are no long-term subsidies from the state, we will demand an increase in the ticket", says Memaj flatly as he adds that there is a disparity between the increased price of oil and that of the urban ticket, which has remained unchanged for several years.
