The testimony of 32-year-old Arnold Shahu, who was arrested the day before in Durrës with 24 thousand and 980 euros, is revealed. Shah has stated that the money is not illegal nor does it come from criminal activities.
Shahu claims that he went to Italy four days ago to buy a new van, but did not agree and returned again.
"I passed 4 days ago. I was going to buy a van in Milan, I didn't like it, we didn't agree, I went back and bought it", he declared.
Shahu was the driver of the van that was checked yesterday, where undeclared 25,000 euros were seized. In front of the investigators, he refused to hand over the phone to have the communications monitored. The phone has been seized for examination.
Shah's arrest came after the controls that the police and customs authorities carried out at the Port of Durrës, a day after 522,000 undeclared euros were seized. This is how the discovery of the 25,000 euros that Shah had on the bus coming to Bari was made.
