Gianni De Biasi

Former Albanian National Football Team coach, Gianni De Biasi, was honored with the "Premio Fair Play" career award by the Panathlon Club "Gianni Brera" at a special ceremony held at the University of Verona.

The event took place on Wednesday, in the Aula Magna "Walter Bragagnolo" of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Verona. This activity was organized within the framework of the "Right to Remember" (Diritto alla memoria) meeting cycle and served as a moment of appreciation for his long contribution to football, where the historic achievement of qualifying Albania for Euro 2016 stands out in particular.

Earlier in his career, De Biasi has received similar honorary academic titles in the Albanian space, such as the title Doctor Honoris Causa from the European University of Tirana (UET) in 2015 and from Universum International College (UNI) in Pristina in 2023.
