Kreshnik Spahiu has made a strong statement regarding the debates about the protests in Zvërnec and foreign investments in Albania.

Through a reaction on social media, Spahiu says that he has been declared persona non grata by three countries in the region - Greece, Serbia and North Macedonia - due to the protests that, according to him, he has held over the years against what he describes as the "sale of Albanian territories and properties for 1 euro" or the "forgiveness of the sea."

"I have been declared persona non grata by 3 countries, Greece, Serbia and Macedonia, for protests against the sale of Albanian property territories for 1 euro or the forgiveness of the sea. I am not allowed to enter these 3 countries even today," he says.

In his response, he makes strong accusations, claiming that "Russian, Greek and Serbian secret services pay millions of euros to Albania to destroy American tourism and investments," however, without presenting public evidence for these claims.

Referring to the protests in Zvërnec, he raises questions about the protesters, questioning the timing of their reaction to foreign investment in the country.

"For these reasons, I have the moral right to ask the Zvërnec protesters: Where were you 35 years ago when the Greeks, Chinese, Russians and Serbs invested, and why did you remember today against the Americans?", he says in response.

His statement has sparked debate on social media, particularly over the role of foreign investment and opposition to various development projects in coastal areas.
