Drug trafficking and criminal group, GJKKO passes 5 people on trial

The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has decided to send for trial five people accused of serious criminal offenses, including drug trafficking and participation in a structured criminal group.

The decision was made at the preliminary hearing on June 1, 2026 by Judge Olkeda Lice, after receiving the request of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK).

The defendants who will face trial are Erjon Hoxhara, Eltjon Bregasi, Mariglen Shusha, Donial Drolli and Elton Hamza.

According to the file, they are accused of "narcotics trafficking", "cultivation of narcotics plants", "structured criminal group" and "commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization".

The court has decided to proceed with the case for trial on the merits, closing the preliminary hearing phase. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.

The case will now be reviewed in the main trial at the GJKKO.
