The authorities in Durrës and Rinas have hit 2 attempts to introduce undeclared money into our country.

In the Port of Durrës, the coded police operation "Flux 2" has been finalized, which was based on the information provided by the police intelligence, as well as based on the risk analysis. As part of this operation, the services of the Border Police, at the entrance of the country, passed the "Durrës-Bari-Durrës" bus line, the drivers of which were citizens of GL and VE, in the second line for detailed control.

During the control carried out on this bus, carried out using contemporary methods, the Police services found and seized as material evidence 82,550 euros, which these citizens tried to bring into our country, without declaring it to the PKK, in accordance laws in force. Following the procedural actions for this case, citizens GL, 43 years old and VE, 52 years old, both residents of Elbasan, were arrested in the act.

In Rinas, on the basis of the risk analysis, at the entrance of the country, the citizen KM was passed to the second line for detailed control. In the backpack of this citizen, the Police found 12,820 pounds, which this citizen tried to put in our country, without declaring them. Following the procedural actions for this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for the citizen KM, 28 years old, born in Burrel and resident in London, and the amount of money was seized.

At the direction of the respective prosecutions, the investigations for the complete legal documentation of these 2 cases continue. Accusations of non-declaration of cash and valuables at the border and laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity are heavy on the persons in question.
