Starting today, the partial blocking of road axes will begin as part of the security measures that will be taken for the EU-Western Balkans summit.

The Director of the Traffic Police Altin Qato explained the day before that the blockade will start from this morning for works on the main roads Rinasit-Kashar, the Tirana-Durres highway, the former Sheshi Shqiponja, the Great Ring, the Botanical Garden, the Sauk roundabout , the 'Martyrs Cemetery' roundabout until the intersection with "Bajram Curri" boulevard.

Yes, on these axes there will be blockages with time intervals throughout the day to make possible the passage of the European leaders who will arrive in Tirana from today. From today, traffic around the area of ​​the 'Air Albania' stadium, where the summit will take place, will also be prohibited. This area will be protected by the State Police from today.

Meanwhile, the passage of pedestrians and residents will be allowed in the security zones. Meanwhile, for the employees of the institutions and entities located in the narrow security perimeter around 'Air Albania', they will also be required to have an identity card.

On Tuesday, the day of the EU-Western Balkan summit, the roads will be blocked from 07:30 in the morning until the end of the activity. No one will be allowed to drive cars on these roads after this hour. The following axes will be blocked, as well as the roads that connect the Elbasan road with the 'Pope John Paul II' road,
