A family from the former Kënetë area has been evacuated to the Ministry of Interior's Holiday Home on Durrës beach, after their apartment was flooded.

The prefect of Durrës district, Emiljan Jani, says that even though the dams are fully operational, the situation remains difficult in many areas of Durrës, and it is recommended to avoid movement until the situation calms down. Students and teachers have also been notified through communication groups.

A serious situation is also occurring on the Durrës-Tirana highway, where several vehicles have been turned off and are causing problems due to the high presence of water in some segments of this important road axis.

The intensity of these rainfalls, according to local authorities, was unforeseen, as meteorological forecasts spoke of average rainfall during today's day in Durrës.
