The Minister of Defense reacts to the ratification of the Direct Loan Agreement

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Albania, Ermal Nufi, has described the ratification by the Assembly of the Direct Loan Agreement between the Republic of Albania and the United States of America as a historic event and concrete evidence of American strategic support for our country.

According to Minister Nufi, since the restoration of diplomatic relations with the US in 1990 and after Albania's membership in NATO, this is the most significant act of support for Albania in concrete and financial terms.

The Minister emphasizes that this agreement is not simply a financial instrument, but a strategic investment that will serve to:

national security within the framework of NATO 3.0 and Albania's commitment as a committed ally in the Alliance; strengthening the capacities and modernization of the Armed Forces; deepening Albania's strategic partnership with its most important ally in the field of security and defense, the United States of America.

Minister Nufi praised this development as a moment of particular importance for security, defense, and the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States.
