Today, the First Health Congress opened its proceedings, which will be held on the 6th and 7th at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
The Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, started his speech at this congress by thanking the white shirts of all levels for their work and dedication to serving the citizens.
He said that today there is a human capital in health, which is well treated in all aspects.
" I want to thank all the white shirts, for the effort, dedication and for the results achieved in a field, which every day confronts you with the necessity to guarantee the life and health of our people.
We have a human capital in health, much more stable, much better treated and much more guaranteed for today and tomorrow" , said Rama.
In global conditions, where the competition between developed countries to provide doctors has increased significantly, Rama said that this should increase the vigilance of our country to maintain and treat human capital as best as possible.
"All countries have entered a stage where the need to provide health personnel is becoming more and more acute, also as a result of the aging of the population and the increase in the need for health and social care.
The head of the government emphasized that starting from April 30, specialist doctors will receive a new 50,000 ALL in addition to their salary. He added that they will keep the promise for doctors and other specialists to increase their salary by 7%, just as it was stated before.
" We must guarantee a decent salary. This April, not on April 1, but on April 30, specialist doctors will start receiving a new 50,000 ALL in addition to their salary.
That's $6,000 a year, if the arithmetic is correct. That is, they are from the month of April. We will keep the commitment to the 7% salary increase for general practitioners and nurses ," Rama said.
