Rama cancels the year-end conference for the Great Package: We could not leave
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that he will not hold the year-end conference. Rama says that he did not have the opportunity to hold a press conference like every year-end, "I let the Great Package against inflation of the war talk about pensioners, families with economic assistance, people with disabilities, work invalids, who like never before, they will get extra financial support, because like never before, they have to face a winter with the extended hand of war inflation on their basic consumption".

Rama's post:

Today I didn't see fit to hold a press conference like every end of the year, I let the Great Anti-Inflation Package of the war talk about pensioners, families with economic assistance, disabled people, disabled workers, who like never before , will get extra financial support because, as never before, they have to face a winter with the extended hand of war inflation on their basic consumption.

We could not leave them alone in this difficult winter for all of Europe, but above all for the weakest. Therefore starting in the first place, precisely from the need to remove that disturbing hand from their basic consumption, we came up with the Great Package. Meanwhile, this support does not replace or change the promise that pensioners will be the first beneficiaries of the extraordinary tax on large energy exporters, which we approved in the Assembly with the 2023 fiscal package, in the coming year. So this package, where there is 8000 Lek new for each pensioner, which will be distributed in the first weeks of January, is not the last extra support for pensioners for the year that is knocking on the door.

The package has 20,000 new lek in hand for 6,700 mothers who head families with economic assistance, just like for the first time, the government distributes 20,000 new lek to sanitation workers, drivers, employees of state support services and all other state employees with a gross salary of less than 60,000 lek, a total of 27,249 people, including 1,181 firefighters, 3,267 nurses, 6,045 teachers and educators, 2,200 basic soldiers and thousands of low-level administrative staff! I feel happy when I think that with this extra support, their families will not feel the winter at all with the extended hand of war inflation on their daily consumption. But the Big Package also includes those with a gross salary of over 600,000 ALL - excluding, of course, the political levels of the administration. 11 thousand nurses, 5411 doctors, 30 thousand 693 teachers and educators, 15 thousand 384 security workers, prison police officers and 14 thousand 318 civil servants will each receive 10 thousand new lek, which are added to their salary increase this year, made virtually zero the effect of war inflation on their families. Meanwhile, even though they have salaries higher than 60,000 lek gross, the infantry forces who deservedly received the certificate as NATO's force of excellence, those of the Delta Special Forces, Renea, Rapid Intervention, The Operational Unit or Firefighters will receive 20,000 new Lek from the Big Package. making the effect of war inflation on their families virtually nil. This big package does not solve all problems, nor does it end the war and its inevitable impact on our economy, but together with the massive subsidy of the fixed energy price, it repels an otherwise difficult winter. , as well as embodies the undivided care and attention of the government towards the people of this country. We have never left them and we will not leave them alone, but we will do everything possible to support and ease them in difficult days, as we will leave nothing undone to always bring them days and the best. There is no end to the good, but this will increasingly be the government of the majority, not of the few, and if today we are able to open a big package for almost 1 million Albanians, it happens precisely because we are here for they, the majority of Albanians, not for some.
