The police say that "as a result, the police services identified, located and detained the driver of the vehicle, a citizen of NK, 33 years old, resident of Papër, Elbasan, for the criminal offenses of "Violation of traffic rules" and "Leaving the place of the accident".

From the investigative actions, the police say that it turned out that the 33-year-old man, on September 22, on the Elbasan-Peqin road axis, in the village of Papër, driving a "BMW X3" type vehicle, had an accident resulting in the death of the citizen D. Xh., 53 years old. , a resident of the village of Vidhas, Elbasan, who has been moving on foot. After the accident, the driver of the vehicle immediately left the scene.

The "BMW X3" type vehicle was seized as material evidence.
