The 80th protest in Tirana

Today the protest against the Rama government has entered its 80th day.

Protesters gathered at Skanderbeg Square to then march towards the Prime Minister's Office, where speeches are being held at the improvised podium.

Citizens continue to repeat demands for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the removal of the "old caste" of politics, the repeal of changes to the law on protected areas, the amendment of the electoral law, etc.

At the podium in front of the Prime Minister's Office, a citizen said in his speech that "for 80 days they have tried to impose different theses on us, forgetting that for 13 years those theses failed. They had every means at their disposal to make Albania, but they did not do it. Now that they have lost all popular legitimacy, they are trying to orient us on what we should do."

"For 80 days, this protest has highlighted the powerlessness of the government before the people. With this resistance, we have shown that the propaganda machine is powerless before this people," he said.
