Murder of Portuguese tourist in Ksamil, names of 11 arrested released

Police have arrested 11 people and are searching for two others in connection with the murder of a Portuguese tourist in Ksamil, an event that occurred on the morning of August 18 at the "Principote" bar.

According to the Police, the victim, 20-year-old Portuguese LV, was allegedly stabbed several times during a conflict between several people. The main suspect in the murder, 29-year-old Sokrat Lipan alias Sokrat Vata, was caught in Levan, Fier, while hiding in the trunk of a vehicle traveling towards Tirana.

There were also two Turkish citizens in the vehicle, 31-year-old Ezgi Perlak and 38-year-old Nuh Mahmutoglu, who, according to investigations, were acquainted with the suspect and had hidden him in the vehicle to help him escape.

In connection with the incident, the Police have also arrested several other people, including waiters and security guards at the bar. According to the investigation, some of them are suspected of being involved in the conflict that preceded the murder, while others are accused of not notifying the authorities after the incident.

Police have also announced that two more people are wanted, David Heurtevent, 29 years old, and Bekim Bulica, 36 years old. According to the investigation, David Heurtevent is suspected of punching the victim during the conflict and is accused, together with Sokrat Lipan, of "intentional murder", committed in collaboration.

At the time of the incident, there were four people in the bar with security duties, who the Police say did not intervene to prevent the conflict and subsequently did not notify the authorities.

Miosid Matushaj

And citizens David Heurtevent were declared wanted,

and Bekim Bulica.
