Tirana Police: Gjekmarkaj was not raped! It was Flamur Noka who insulted and hit

Tirana police have denied the statements of DP leader Sali Berisha, who claimed that MP Agron Gjekmarkaj was shot by them.

In a statement to the media, Tirana Police said that Gjekmarkaj did not feel well during the protest and left. Police further said that it was MP Flamur Noka who insulted and physically attacked the officers.

Reaction of the Tirana Local Police Directorate:

The State Police denies as completely untrue the statement in the media by Mr. Sali Berisha, where he claimed that MP Agron Gjekmarkaj was hit by Police officers.

MP Gjekmarkaj was not hit by any police officer, but, from initial reports, it appears that he was not feeling well and left the protest.

The State Police expresses regret for these statements and, above all, for the violent actions of MP Flamur Noka, who not only disobeyed the Police order to clear the road, but also violently opposed, pushing, insulting and hitting the Police officers who were on duty to clear the road for the free movement of vehicles and citizens.

Tirana Police have identified all those citizens who illegally blocked the road and opposed the order of Police officers to clear it, and they will be prosecuted according to the law.

Blocking roads is a criminal offense, which was made clear to the protest organizers in the response received from the Tirana Local Police Directorate, which undertook to guarantee the protest, but without blocking the free movement of vehicles and citizens.
