Citizens, tribute to the 7-year-old girl who died in Potam! They light candles at the Prime Minister's Office

 

The event that happened in Potam of Himara has shocked public opinion. The 7-year-old girl died while standing on the shore after being hit by a boat.

Jonida Avdia, only 7 years old, was on the seashore with her parents when the boat driven by the policeman Arjan Tase hit her to death.

Arjan Tase was currently the Chief of Police in the Community in Elbasan, while he told the police that the boat had suffered a technical defect. But witnesses of the event said that Tase tried to leave when he saw the dead body of the child. It was the insistence of the vacationers who grabbed the boat, not allowing it to leave, while shouting at the author of the event, calling him "Criminal".

Meanwhile, the family will say their last goodbye to Jonada tomorrow in Tirana.

"Friends and friends, it is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our granddaughter Jonada Bledar Avdia, at the age of 7, from a tragic accident on the beach of Himara.

Burial takes place dt. 03.08.2022, at 15:00, at the address: Avdia Family, "Stanislav Zuber" Street, near Intesa San Paolo Bank Laprakë", the family announced.

Tonight, various citizens gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office this Tuesday and lit candles as a tribute to the 7-year-old girl who lost her life on the beach of Potami in Himare.

This was the third case on the southern beaches where the incidents involved dinghies and jet skis. Earlier, a couple was injured in Jalë, while another child was injured by a dinghy on Jonufra beach in Vlora.
