Police arrested a 43-year-old man in Tirana today .

He was arrested by the blue forces after he had built a building without a permit and had begun to build another one, also without a permit. 

He had also polluted the Tirana River by dumping waste from construction works there.

The police are investigating the case further.

Tirana/The operation codenamed "Bazamenti" is being finalized, to crack down on a case of crimes against the environment. He had built a building without a permit and had started to build another one, also without a permit, a 43-year-old man has been arrested. He had also polluted the Tirana River, after dumping (inert) waste from construction works there.

During the checks carried out throughout the territory of the Tirana district, mainly in the vicinity of water surfaces, which may be used illegally, for the extraction of inert materials, for construction purposes, or may be polluted by the dumping of various waste, the services of the Police Commissariat No. 4 ascertained a case in this area on "Myslym Keta" street.

In this case, within the framework of the "Basement" operation, and as a result of the investigations, citizen LK, 43 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested.

This citizen is suspected of having built 1 building without a permit (storage shed). The verifications showed that he had begun construction work on another building, also without a permit. It further emerged that the 43-year-old was dumping construction waste into the Tirana River, causing pollution.

The controls, with the objective of ascertaining and combating crimes against the environment, continue. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /Dosja.al
