35-year-old man injured by gunfire in Vlora, taken to Trauma Hospital

A 35-year-old man shot himself in the city of Vlora.

The incident occurred this morning at around 04:10, in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood, in the apartment where he lived.

Arnaldo Matodashaj was transported for specialized assistance to the Trauma Hospital.

The 35-year-old has a criminal record. In 2023, he was arrested by the police along with two of his friends after a gun was found in his car.

The Blues have seized the Glock pistol as material evidence.

" At around 04:10, in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood, in the apartment where he lived, citizen AM, 35 years old, is suspected of having shot himself with a pistol. After first aid, the 35-year-old was transported for specialized assistance to the Trauma Hospital.

"As material evidence, the firearm, a Glock pistol, which was found at the scene, was seized ," the police informed today.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its actions to fully clarify and document this event.
