"Big fish" from Tirana, the Albanian trafficker managed a criminal

The Italian police kept him under surveillance for some time after they suspected him to be a "big fish" of a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking, and they were right, after they found two kilograms of cocaine and seven kilograms of marijuana at home.

Valter Serani, a 40-year-old man of Albanian origin, ended up in handcuffs. The arrest came after a complex investigation carried out by the mobile section of the economic and financial police unit of the Guardia di Finanza in Fermo.

The operation started on Saturday evening after the carabinieri had followed and observed Serani for a long time and thought it was time to take action.

The police entered the Albanian's house, which is located in the area of Porto Sant'Elpidio, and carried out a detailed check with the help of dog units. In the house of the suspect, the Guardia di Finanza found a large quantity of drugs ready to be sold.

Blocks of cocaine and bags of marijuana were found hidden and wrapped in cellophane, already weighed and ready to be dumped on the wholesale market.

The narcotics were well hidden among the furniture and in secret places inside the apartment, but despite this, it did not escape the nose of the police dog that participated in the flash operation.

The 40-year-old was immediately arrested in the act. On the other hand, cocaine and marijuana were seized, Italian media write. The drug, if it were to go on the market, would reach around 400,000 euros.

Serani, defended by lawyer Maurizio Cacaci, was assigned house arrest. But the investigations continue as the investigators are convinced that the 40-year-old is only a part of a much bigger puzzle and that they are facing one of the components of an international Italian-Albanian organization that manages the cocaine traffic from Tirana to the territory of Fermano.
