Ylli Brahimi, the 46-year-old who was injured in Milot's assassination, has denied having any conflicts after being questioned by the investigators, not giving any help in the advancement of the investigations to unravel the serious event.
Asked 10 days after the assassination at the Trauma Hospital, due to his serious health condition, Brahimi stated that he has no idea who the suspected perpetrators of the barrage of bullets fired at him and the victim Klisman Preçi could be.
The only details that Brahimi has confessed to the investigators are those of the last movements, in which according to him he did not notice anything suspicious, including the presence of other people nearby who may have observed him. Two bullets hit the 46-year-old, one in the lung and another in the thigh.
Investigations into the event have stalled due to the lack of evidence, while the DVR of the security cameras in the area has been brought for expertise in Tirana to find out if it was turned off just to cover the event, or if it had been turned off earlier. Ylli Brahimi and Klisman Preçi were shot with Kalashnikov bullets during the evening of July 22, when they were returning to their apartments in Milot in an armored car.
Klisman Preçi and Ylli Ibrahimi both have previous criminal records. 46-year-old Ylli Brahimi is not an unknown name to the police. In 2003, he was convicted of drug trafficking, while he had escaped an assassination attempt only a year earlier. While Klisman Preçi, who remained dead, escaped an assassination attempt in May of this year, where he was in the car with Blerim Preçi.
