After 12 days, the situation in Prespa National Park has returned to normal. This was announced by the mayor of Pustec, Pali Kolefski, when he said that this was possible thanks to the intervention for two consecutive days from the air with the Romanian plane, but also thanks to the work done by 150 forces engaged in the operation. of fire isolation, 60 of them army forces, while the rest fire service, Protected areas and Pustec Municipality employees.

According to Kolefski, today only one fire station is still active on top of Mount Dry, where the forces will be concentrated in order to contain the flames.

Kolefski informed that after two days the operation of flights from the air will be stopped, but this does not mean that, depending on the situation, there will not be another such intervention.
