'I took the money for my boyfriend', the 34-year-old stole 12 million

He stole nearly 12 million Lek from the exhcange office, the prosecutor's office wants Blerina Shstepani to be arrested in prison. The investigation revealed that the theft was committed for 1 week. Shtepani started work at the foreign exchange office on 27.7.2022, while the theft was detected on 2 August 2022.

The housewife has introduced herself to the exhcange's owners as a former bank employee. When the theft was discovered, she denied it. Then she said that if any money is missing during her shift, she would replace it. When the owners told him the missing number, he got busy telling them who you are accusing. The cameras were opened and it turned out that Shtepani leaves the exchange office with bundles of lek and returns after 20 or 40 minutes, placing lek coins in the cash register.

On August 9, 2022, when she did not return the stolen amount, she surrendered to the police, admitting theft, explaining that she gave the money to a citizen named Ylli.
