Crime is prevented in Lezha, 39-year-old arrested with a shotgun and cartridges

The "Eagle" Special Force, in cooperation with the services of the Lezha Police Commissariat, after receiving information on the operational route that an armed citizen was moving on a motorcycle in the village of Dajç, with the intention of committing a criminal incident due to a previous conflict, organized the work and immediately intervened to neutralize the situation.

Police services located the motorcycle without license plates where its driver attempted to flee, but was professionally neutralized by members of the "Eagle" Special Force.

During the search of the vehicle, an automatic firearm, with a cartridge in the chamber ready to fire, a quantity of combat ammunition, and the unregistered vehicle in which the citizen was traveling were found and seized as material evidence.

At the end of the procedural actions, the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen Arben Leka, 39 years old, resident of Lezha, was made for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", provided for by Article 278 of the Criminal Code.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, for further legal action.
