The Tirana court remands Marsela Pushani, the teacher accused of murdering her sister Amanda Pushani. The 40-year-old woman will be investigated under the security measure "arrest in prison" for the criminal offense of murder due to family relations, a charge that was not accepted by her in court.

"The night before, my mother and I had talked to Amanda. He had promised us that he would not drink again, but after leaving the house for a few hours, he came back drunk again. I injured him during the fight, but then I treated him. She lay down in her room. I don't believe he died because of the wound, but because of the alcohol. I would give my life for my sister".

Through the lawyer, Pushani asked for a milder measure of security, with the claim that he has to take care of his sick mother and reclassification of the criminal offense from "murder due to family relations" to "murder exceeding the limits of the necessary protection."

The event in the Pushani family happened on Saturday. Initially, the death of 37-year-old Amanda Pushani was reported as a natural death, but the autopsy proved that the death had resulted from the wounds of a cutting tool.

According to sources close to the investigation group, apart from the knife wound on the victim's body, there were other previous injuries, including in intimate areas.
